Who we are

What we collect for a check

Your email address, the civic address you check and its coordinates, your language, and the payment identifiers Stripe sends us (session and payment identifiers, never the card number). The computed result is linked to that data for as long as it is kept.

We use no tracking cookies and no analytics on this site. The only cookie stores your language preference.

Why

To produce and deliver the check, send you the result link, process the payment and any refund, answer your requests, and meet our legal obligations, tax records included.

How long

Your email, the address, the coordinates and the result are deleted automatically 30 days after purchase. Only the Stripe payment identifiers and the amount are kept, without any identifying information, for accounting. Stripe keeps the receipt under its own rules.

Who processes your data

Stripe (payment, United States); Natural Resources Canada's address geolocation service (turning the address into coordinates, we keep nothing there); our host DigitalOcean (Toronto, Canada); Cloudflare (traffic routing); our email delivery provider. Your data may transit outside Québec with these providers to the extent the service requires.

Your rights

You may ask for access to your information, its correction or its early deletion by writing to [email protected]. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Security

Data travels encrypted (TLS), results are reached through a private link, and system access is limited to the people who need it. In case of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the people concerned.
